Let’s all be honest we do “secretly” love the mischievous toddlers who watch with delight and intrigue as they drop their apple over the side of the high chair, who discover the tactile properties of talcum powder or the young boy who insists on jumping on your freshly made bed! I promise these children are not trying to annoy us they are simply following the brain’s innate need to move and explore, the natural process of development.
If they could talk ‘ My Brain Made Me Do It’ would be their catch phrase!
This innate process requires that young children need to experience and practice developmentally appropriate motor activities and sensory experiences vital to their future academic, health and social wellbeing. Like anything in life ‘processes’ are not always perfect and for whatever reasons often need a helping hand!
For us as parents, caregivers, health and education providers, the best way to help and support our children through this journey from birth to entering school, is to learn, to understand and share with each other ‘The Importance of Being 0 -5- Years’.
In this way we can provide the necessary experiences to grow our children’s brains and therefore enhance their all-round potential.
….and so ‘The Importance of Being’ was born.
Welcome & Enjoy!
